ABOUT ME

Growing up, I always had a camera in my hand. Memories were something that I truly cherished, and my camera quickly became an outlet for expressing myself and my creativity. I documented everything — from family trips and time with friends to even the most mundane moments in my daily life. I just wanted to capture who I was at that point in my life. As I continued to document my own story, I became increasingly interested in the lives and stories of those around me. Stories are powerful, and everyone has a unique story to tell.

During my time at SCAD, I was blessed with the opportunities to study abroad in the South of France, Argentina, Iceland, and Ireland. In the South of France, I had the honor of editing two documentaries of local artists. In my travels to Argentina, Iceland, and Ireland, I captured, through photography, the vibrant cities, the breathtaking landscapes, and the people who bring their countries to life.

Through these experiences and as I’ve developed as a filmmaker and artist, my passion for non-fiction storytelling has only deepened. I look forward to further growing my skill set by following my passion in editing and producing documentaries as well as commercial work. Additionally, I hope to continue to capture people and places through photography. There are stories all over the world waiting to be heard; we just have to listen. Through my work, I hope to highlight untold stories, connect with people of all walks of life, and inspire a more vibrant and compassionate world!
I’m Meredith Winicki, and I’m a filmmaker, photographer, and current senior at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), majoring in Film and Television with triple minors in Photography, Editing, and Producing.
